Hi Friends,
I think of you every day. And, although I have not sent a touchstone every day,
every day I send love and good wishes to you.
Â
Here's one of my thoughts today.
Â
I had assumed that to move from
divisiveness to unity, we must find common ground. Then, while standing toe to toe and seeing eye to eye about something, we could step up to higher ground.
Â
But I now see that it’s the other way around. Whether we
are trying to mend a strained relationship or foster unity within a group, common ground is found when we are on higher ground, a place where we let go of self-righteousness and rigid viewpoints and open ourselves to other perspectives.
Â
Whether or not I am experiencing a difference, a conflict, or an issue
with someone, I want to be in a "higher place" every day.Â
Â
So, how do we get there?Â
Â
What, if anything, are you aware of that helps you to step up to a "higher" place?Â
Life is sweeter when our minds and hearts are open, I believe.
Â
How about you?
Â
With love,
Charlene
