So much love is needed now. To comfort and heal so much hurt. To soften fear and release hate. 

We must not succumb to feelings of helplessness or hopelessness. 

While we seek ways to protect democracy and restore reason, respect, balance, integrity, and justice - all the qualities of goodness within the American spirit and in humanity - let's be "true, loving human souls, blessed influences in the lives of others." 

We don't have to do anything perfectly. Let's just do our best to be our best and use our gifts to make a difference. Let's bring out the best in others, too.
