“Be not afraid of growing slowly;
be afraid only of standing still.”
- Chinese Proverb
Let's aim to be brave instead of afraid of growing at any pace - slowly, swiftly, or seemingly not at all.
Being afraid stifles us. But sometimes we do feel afraid of growth because we fear change and the unknown. In such times, let's reach within for the courage that's built into us. It's there alongside the urge in all life to keep growing.
Notice this urge in the photo below. May the new green leaves rising from the core in the Romaine lettuce stalk inspire us to keep going and growing in all times.
With faith,
Charlene
PS -
You may wish to demonstrate this for yourself. After using all the leaves on a head of Romaine or other lettuce, slice a sliver off the bottom and place the end of the stalk on a shallow dish with a slight amount of water and watch it grow. The growth started overnight for us.
THE TWELFTH GIFT IS FAITH.
May you believe.
