“Those are the same stars,
and that is the same moon,
that look down upon your brothers and sisters,
and which they see as they look up to them,
though they are ever so far away
from us, and each other.”
—Sojourner Truth
Did you see the moon last night?
It appeared exceptionally bright and beautiful in its fullness the past few nights. I wondered how
many people around the world noticed it and were awed.
I hope someday - someday soon - we will pause in our awe and appreciate how the moon benefits us, causing the tides and day and night, holding us in balance, and keeping us on a
stable course while shining light upon us all.
May we feel for one another too, understanding how we all share joys and sorrows, troubles and triumphs, and hopes and dreams in our family of humanity.
With love, reverence, and compassion,
