"After every storm the sun will smile;
for every problem there is a solution,
and the soul's indefeasible duty
is to be of good
cheer."
~ William R. Alger
As we prepare for the arrival of another hurricane, I pray that Milton causes little harm, while prayers continue for all who are struggling in the
aftermath of Helene.
Life is a wondrous, precious, amazing, beautiful gift. It can also be very, very hard at times.
As we care for all who have been hit hard by fierce weather, let's care and pray also for all who feel as if they are being blown apart or off course by the gusts, gales and pressures of a life challenge. If you are among them, know that you are
held in caring thoughts and prayers.
Kindness and compassion can lighten every burden and brighten every dark night. So, along with taking care of our own safety and needs, let's offer help, compassion, and encouragement to one another.
Let's also hold hope and faith. This will pass. And, somehow, somewhere, sometime, in some way, some gain will come from every loss. No matter what is happening, there are blessings that await our discovery.
Always,
Charlene
PS - I may not
be able to send touchstones for a few days. If that is the case, know that they will resume, in time.
THE FOURTH GIFT IS COMPASSION.
May you be gentle with yourself and others.
May you forgive those who hurt you
and yourself when you make mistakes.
