"To every thing there is a season
and a time to every purpose."
-Ecclesiastes
Dear Friends,
Whether you subscribed in 2012, when I began sending Today's Touchstone messages, or yesterday, I value our connection. Thank you for reading my touchstones, for passing them on, and for writing and sharing your perspectives.
Although we differ in
various ways, in spirit, I feel we are standing together in harmony, arm-in-arm on common ground on a place of high ground. In our hearts we share a yearning toward one or more of these callings: to be our best selves; to be real, to make a difference, to live on purpose, to be healed, to love and be loved, to be at peace, to know who we are, to comfort and uplift others, to promote peace - to recognize life's gifts and live
them - and more.
Right now, I am also feeling called to pause, rest, reflect, and listen. I feel as if I have entered new territory and I don't have a map. Plus, it's foggy here; and I can't find my glasses. I am feeling a bit
bewildered.
I need to get my bearings before I write from my heart to yours every day. During the past few weeks, several times, I felt that my message was trite. I haven't known what to sincerely say in a tone that is honest, considerate, and wise.
So, for now, with deep respect for you, and for my integrity, my touchstones will not be arriving every day.
For the time being, I will write and send them when I can, but at least once a week.
Thank you for understanding and for staying connected. I appreciate prayers. You have mine.
As we enter this season of holidays and holy days and near a new year, may we remember to pause, breathe, notice beauty, seek peace, spread smiles, give thanks, and be kind to ourselves and to all.
And may we be open to hope, healing, harmony, and miracles.
With love,
Charlene
