“I am only one, but I am one.”
- Edward Everett Hale
Too often we think we are too small - or too old, too young, too something or not enough something - to make a difference. Too often we think we are powerless.
The Dalai Lama reminds us that this is not true. If you've ever tried sleeping in a room in which there was one small mosquito flying about, you understand.
We can always make a difference. In fact, we are always having an impact in the world and on the world. We all create ripples that go on and on.
In this uncertain time of many
challenges, possible extreme changes, and polarized points of view,
we can make a difference by traveling through it on a high road, responding to what unfolds with strength, courage, wisdom, and integrity. We can maintain dignity, a positive vision, healthy self care, and a caring for the well-being of all.
On the high road, we are better able to recognize opportunities and to act upon them.
The high road. Let's take it together.
With love and courage,
Charlene
