"We will never have a perfect world,
but it is not romantic or naive
to work toward a better one."
- Steven Pinker
I believe it's wise, not naive, to work toward a better world. It's loving, too, not merely romantic. And it's something we can all do.
We don't even have to do extraordinary things. As Mother Teresa said, we can all do small things with great
love.
What if, every day, before making any judgments about what's wrong, we notice what's beautiful in the world, what's good in ourselves and each other, and we build upon that?
We can all put our interests, abilities, and concerns toward making a better world in some way.
And while we are doing that, or considering that, or trying to determine what our way will be - we can be kind.
With love and respect for all,
Charlene
