Everything we recognize in others is like a mirror, reflecting something in us. If it wasn't within us at all, we would not be able to recognize it.

Let's embrace and celebrate the beauty and goodness we see in ourselves, others, and the world and keep the noble qualities in us nurtured.

What about the qualities that are not so fine? Recognizing them indicates they are within us to. 

We may be tempted to judge them, deny them, or dwell on them. 

But there is greater health, well-being, compassion and wisdom to be gained by acknowledging them, but avoiding their pull, and shifting attention onward and upward.
