"Hope never abandons you, you abandon it."
~George Weinberg
However we are feeling throughout this day, let's be open to possibilities. To growth, healing, and amazement. To learning, laughter, and tears. And to gratitude for the opportunity to experience life.
Let's be open to miracles, too. They happen every day. A few days ago I re-connected and congratulated a woman I met in 2000. She is a 30-year survivor of pancreatic cancer.
If ever you feel a sense of hopelessness, try to remember that hope is always present within us.
Hope, love, joy, strength,
courage...our inner strengths never abandon us, but sometimes it feels as if they are missing or dormant.
At such times, it may help to consider how, on cloudy days, it can seem as if the sun is missing. But, of course, the sun is present above the clouds. And, in time, the clouds will dissipate and we will again see the sun's light and feel its warmth.
On the other hand, such a suggestion may seem trite when we are feeling low.
My main intention of this touchstone is to encourage all who are reading this to never give up on hope nor on yourself.
Patrick Swayze said, "I keep my heart and my soul and my spirit open to miracles."
May we all stay open to hope, to love, and to miracles...at least to possibilities.
Always,
Charlene
