"Be a gift to everyone who enters your life...
You can always be a gift,
because you always are the gift
-
yet sometimes
you don't let yourself know that.
When someone enters your life unexpectedly,
look for the gift."
-Neale Donald Walsch
From time to time, we all have "chance" encounters that utterly amaze us.
We meet someone who, in passing, offers a perspective that resolves an issue that has troubled us. Or a stranger's words offer hope and act like a soothing balm to a worry or a hurt.
Often, when this happens, we think, "Surely this is more than a
coincidence that happened by chance." Sometimes we tell others about what seemed like a divine orchestration.
Of course, we do the same for others. Everyday, in ways large and small, we are a gift for each other. Usually, we don't even realizing how we are helping one another.
Sometimes, the gift is not something especially grand. It may be one of those "small world"
discoveries of how we are connected.
The point it - we are connected. And each of us is a gift, with gifts within us. Let's aim to be mindful of this as we go about this day.
And sometime, as we go about this day, let's pause and step back - or rise above - our usual way of going about any day, and consider
life.
Life. I believe we have but a glimmer of how wondrous it is. I imagine that the beauty, wholeness, oneness, order, and love within life and all creation is far beyond what any of us can even imagine. And yet, let's imagine. And trust. And act with awe, reverence, kindness, and compassion. Faith, gratitude, hope, and joy, too. And, love.
Always,
Charlene
THE TWELFTH GIFT IS
FAITH.
May you believe.
