"Friends are those rare people who ask how we
are
and then wait to hear the answer.”
- Ed Cunningham
A true friend welcomes truth and values authenticity.
You may have heard the beautiful saying that a friend knows the song
in our hearts and sings it to us when we have forgotten.
A friend has compassion and wisdom.
In friendship there is beauty and strength. Courage is present, as are all of life's gifts. Hope and joy are demonstrated.
There's a spirit of friendship within each of us, even in those among us who are slow to trust and get
close to others. Even in those who appear aloof and seem unfriendly.
As William Butler Yeats said, "There are no strangers here; only friends you haven't met yet."
Everyone is someone with whom we can find common ground and heart connections.
Today, let's be a friend to all.
With reverence,
Charlene
THE NINTH GIFT IS REVERENCE.
May you appreciate the wonder that you are
and the miracle of all
creation.
