“Friends in your life
are like pillars on your porch.
Sometimes they hold you up,
and sometimes they lean on you.
Sometimes it's just
enough
to know they're standing by."
-Anonymous
This
quote stirred a memory that makes me want to sit with friends - past and present - and talk about meaningful things, on the pillared porch of the 1886 Victorian farmhouse I lived in decades ago
Let's make this a friendship appreciation day.
Call to mind and heart a friend who was a pillar at an earlier time in your life and one with whom you share support now. Feel for promptings in your heart, guiding you to reach out to one, more, or many in certain way. Do the best you can.
For several who have passed, I'll be sending love when I connect with them in bittersweet
memories.
I'm being reminded that life is precious; and we are not here forever. Why not make this a day of appreciating all the pillars in our life -
and life itself - by treating everyone with reverent kindness?
Wishing you a lovely, loving day,
Charlene
May you look for what is good in each other...
Every day may you be grateful.
