"Life is strong and fragile.
It's a paradox. It's both things..."
~ Joan Jett
We too are strong yet fragile, made up of opposites. Sometimes we are clear; at times confused. We feel and say contradictory things. We can cry and laugh at the same time. We can love and hate someone when we hurt. We can doubt and have
faith.
Today,
whatever we are aiming to do, however we are feeling, let's bring kindness into the mix of our highs and lows, with loving acceptance for ourselves and others, just as we are right now.
With compassion,
Charlene
P.S. - Joan Jett compares this paradoxical condition in life to quantum physics, which I known little about, only that, somehow, awesomely,
something can be a particle and a wave - two different things - at the same time. It can also be two different places at the same time. All of life is awesome. As are we. So much is beyond our understanding, which, for me, suggests we remain humble and reverent about life, and compassionate with ourselves and each other.
THE FOURTH GIFT IS COMPASSION.
May you be gentle with yourself and others.
May you forgive those who hurt you
and yourself when you make mistakes.
