"Many of our fears are tissue paper thin,
and a single step would carry us
clear through them."
-Brendan Francis
Some of our fears are shallow, like sheets of tissue paper which we can even see through.
Some are like a veneer on the surface of a change or even an adventure. Often,
beneath such fears, there is a mix of excitement, enthusiasm, and other emotions, like uncertainty.
But not all fears are shallow. Some go deep.
But to face fear at any depth, we have courage. And the depth of courage within us is fathoms beyond any
fear.
Let's nurture trust in courage.
Let's also take to heart the powerful words spoken by Franklin D. Roosevelt in his first inaugural address:
"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself."
Amen, I say.
With faith, hope, and love,
Charlene
