"Concerning all acts of initiative and creation,
there is one elementary truth
the ignorance of which
kills countless ideas and splendid
plans:
that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too."
-William Hutchison Murray.
Have you been saying "Someday, I'll..." for a long
time? Have you been holding a dream in your heart for years? Maybe decades?
If you have, perhaps it's time to take today's
touchstone quote to heart.
The quote goes on to describe what happens when we commit to something with all our heart.
"All sorts of things occur to
help one
that would never otherwise have occurred.
A whole stream of events
issues from the decision,
raising in one's favour
all manner of unforeseen incidents,
meetings and material assistance
which no man could have dreamed
would have come his way."
I experienced the truth of this when I took a leap of faith and, after saying "Someday" for
ten years, I committed fully to getting The Twelve Gifts of Birth published.
That was more than 20 years ago. I can still recall, with goosebumps and gratitude, how miracles happened in the way I was met by Providence as I labored in loving service to the work.
The world needs the best of us now. Our love, hope, and kindness and our listening and responding to the callings in our heart. We're all called in some way.
With love,
Charlene
