"Let us open our hearts
to the love that is our birthright."
- Don Miguel Ruiz
Love. It's a many splendored, splendid, awesome, wondrous thing. Yes, love is also a hurtful thing at times. But it's a healing thing too, always.
Love is also a choice we can make. Let's make that choice today. Let's open our hearts to this birthright gift in all its aspects. We sometimes forget that
there is much more to love than romance.
As Leo Buscaglia said, "Get on with living and loving. We don't have forever."
We don't even know if we have tomorrow. So, let's let go of grudges, let chips fall off our shoulders, release regrets and resentments, and love
everyone and everything.
Let's not waste any opportunities to love our families, friends, homes, our work, dreams, nature, all of creation, and the Source of All Love.
We can even
embrace our challenges - love them and learn from them. We can love strangers and our so-called enemies. If we walked in their shoes, carried their burdens, felt their struggles, and saw their dreams, we would realize how much alike we are. Which reminds me, let's love ourselves too.
Today, let's
choose to love and act in caring, loving ways with everyone we encounter and everything we experience. We have the capacity to love in this way. When we do, we make room for grace and for miracles too.
Truly,
Charlene
