"Because I always have a choice, I choose love." -Deepak Chopra Like Deepak Chopra, we have a choice. We can choose how to respond to everything we experience in every moment. Always.
Instead of acting upon the lightening-speed, knee-jerk reactions we often have when something annoys, angers, hurts, or troubles us in any way, we can pause and choose
to act with love, kindness, and compassion.
This may sound idealistic, mushy, gooey, unrealistic, or difficult. It can feel hard, for a time. But it can become a powerful way of living. A more peaceful, joyful, healthy, and effective way too.
Today, let's practice pausing and
choosing.
Let's practice responding with love to situations and to people. To family and to friends. To strangers. To ourselves.
To all, may we choose to act kindly, in loving ways.
With reverence, Charlene Use your gifts well and you will discover others, among them a
gift that is uniquely you. - from THE TWELVE GIFTS OF BIRTH |
