"You, yourself, as much as anybody
in the entire universe,
deserve your love and affection."
- Buddha
It seems to me that we humans love love. We write songs about it and make movies about it. We celebrate love. We want love. We need
love.
Although a wedding photo (of my maternal grandparents) inspired this touchstone and accompanies it, this post is not limited to romantic love. It applies to family love, friendship love, spiritual love,
and more. It's about loving life, nature, goodness, God...and it bring us back to loving love, and to self-love.
So,
since we love love, why don't we choose to be loving every day? It's not always easy, but it is simple. Okay, it's not always simple either. But often it is. And we're all capable of it.
When we sincerely
decide to love, our heart opens, making room for love to flow in and out.
Even if a heart is stuck shut, a sincere decision and intention to love will loosen the stuckness. Opening a stuck-shut heart
may take a little time. Or the opening may happen quickly, even instantaneously, with grace and love's healing power.
Let's decide to love greatly, deeply, widely, and fully today - remembering to include
ourselves - and see what happens.
With faith, hope, and love,
Charlene
THE ELEVENTH GIFT IS LOVE.
It will grow each time you give it
away.
