“The most important thing in life
is to learn how to give out love,
and to let it come in.”
– Morrie Schwartz
Love is sometimes messy, like a child's heart art.
And, like a child's primitive art, sometimes
giving love feels awkward, such as saying "I'm sorry" when we've hurt someone, especially if we are embarrassed or defensive and proud.
Another time is when we want to offer caring love to someone who is grieving and we don't know what to say.
But, so what if we're awkward, especially when our love is clear and sincere, like a child's pure heart.
Once upon a time we knew the most important thing is giving and receiving love. Somewhere inside, we still know this.
May we remember this now, whatever age we are, and live each day with love flowing from and into our hearts.
With joy,
Charlene
