“You say grace before meals. All right.
But I say
grace
before the concert and the opera,
and grace before the play and pantomime,
and grace before I open a book,
and grace before sketching,
painting, swimming, fencing, boxing,
walking, playing, dancing
and grace before I dip the pen in the ink.”
- G.K. Chesterton
I believe our lives would be tremendously richer if we brought sincere gratitude to everything we do, and if, before we began, we asked that a blessing be bestowed upon every activity.
Grace before gardening. Grace before making morning coffee. Grace before cleaning the house. Grace before making a difficult phone call....Grace
before everything.
We may use different words and approach this in our own way, but I think the effect for all of us would be more zest, zip, flow, ease, joy, wonder, delight, inspiration, success, and well-being. And, we would positively affect the lives of others, making this world a better place too.
Wishing you abundant blessings!
With love,
Charlene
