“All shall be well,
and all shall be well
and all manner of thing
shall be well.”
-Julian of Norwich
Our human hardships and heartaches can sometimes feel like heavy clouds that the sun will never shine through.
In such times it can seem as if that is all there is and all there ever will be.
But that is not so, as we know, but can lose sight of when we are passing through a dark tunnel along life's journey.
For such times, for all times, let's nurture our gifts of hope and faith with the beauty of light today.
See and appreciate light, perhaps at dawn, or glowing inside a leaf, or dappling through swaying trees, or pouring through a window upon a sleeping dog or cat who sought its warmth. See and appreciate the light in someone's eyes.
And may the light of love shine through our eyes today.
With hope and
joy,
Charlene
PS - The beautiful little sliver of moonlight I saw in the clouds last night - and photographed - inspired this touchstone. I hope it touched something in your heart.
THE FIFTH GIFT IS HOPE.
Through each passage and season
may you trust the goodness of life.
