"The older I get, the smarter my father seems to get."
- Tim Russert
“Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, the expectant dads, the stepdads, the moms who father, the adoptive dads, the grandads, and the dads who are no longer
here."
- ANON
"A father's love still travels on after he’s gone.
A treasure hidden in the hearts of his
children.”
- John Mark Green
Like Tim Russert, I can better see and appreciate my dad's wisdom now that I am older. I can better appreciate his love, encouragement, acceptance,
patience, kindness, humor, and guidance now too - now that I am older, and now that he is gone. He's been gone a long time, but his love is very much alive in my heart.
I also appreciate and admire how my husband deeply loves, guides, and gives his full attention and complete acceptance to our
grandchildren.
My gift to my father in heaven today is to say, "Thank you, I love you, and I'll do my best to take the best of all the goodness you taught me and showed
me and I will aim to live it, day by day.
For all who came before us and for all the children, let's step up and give our best to life.
With love and
best wishes for you,
Charlene
