"Is the universe friendly? Is life fair?
Is life on my side?"
We certainly know that human life, all life, on Earth is not easy. That's a given. Nor is it fair, according to the way we see things.
But there are many differing perspectives on the questions: Is the universe friendly? Is life on my side?
What does your experience suggest? What have you been told?
When I look back over my life, I see many times when things didn't go the way I wanted, but then something far better happened.
And, at age 74, I can now see how much I grew in compassion and wisdom every time I experienced losses, disappointments,
and challenges, which include two bouts of cancer.
Life is a mystery. I'm learning to be okay with not
knowing everything and not understanding many things. (Although, I admit I prefer knowing and understanding things, and I love seeking answers.)
But I absolutely believe - with faith - that something is on my side. For me that is God. God is on my
side. Life is on my side. And I believe God and Life are on your side.
Life strives to survive and thrive; life seeks
healing, balance, growth, expression, and fulfillment.
Whatever our life circumstances have suggested to this point, and
whatever we've been told, let's make room for the possibility that Something is indeed on our side, always.
