It's true. Right now, love needs us, just as we need love.

To encourage us, I want to share a wisdom story. 
Perhaps you know it. 
Remember the tale of “The Two Wolves”?

One morning, a Cherokee chief told his grandson about a battle that is waged every day.

“It’s not a battle fought out on the land, said the grandfather. “It’s not a battle between
tribes or between people at all. This every day battle takes place inside people.”

With high regard for his grandfather, along with healthy curiosity, the boy listened.

“Inside us all there are two wolves,” the grandfather explained. “One wolf is named Hate. That wolf is made of hateful anger, envy, greed, arrogance, resentment, false pride, and lies. The other wolf is named Love. That wolf is made of loving peace, hope, faith, kindness, compassion, generosity, and honesty. Every day these two wolves battle.”

The child asked, “Which wolf wins, Grandfather?”

“The one you feed, son,” replied the grandfather. “The one you feed.”

Inspired by this allegorical tale, may we avoid feeding fear and hate, and instead nourish the love, the hope, the compassion, the joy, the peace, the strength...all that is noble in us.
