"Every man has his secret
sorrows
which the world knows not;
and often times we call a
man cold when he is only sad."
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
If we notice someone today who seems cold and aloof, or harsh and gruff, let's consider
that this man or woman is likely hurting.
Instead of challenging, confronting, criticizing, or condemning that person, we can soften our ruffled feathers, open our hearts, and "send" caring and
compassion.
Sometimes, we are that person. I know I am sometimes that person. May we love fully today, as best we can.
Right now, please send love first to yourself and then on to someone, somewhere, who is hurting.
Toward healing all hurts,
