When I first came across this notion - that LOVE needs us - it surprised me. I had never heard this perspective. But when I considered it, I felt excited and uplifted, hopeful and encouraged. 

And I felt increasingly joyful and inspired as I read more of this quote:

"LOVE needs you to be your best...
Don't give up on helping to relieve 
the suffering of others...
Don't give up on LOVE because it's LOVE 
that has inspired all that is good in the world."

How do these words affect you? I'm now realizing that the idea of LOVE needing us reminds me of a St. Teresa of Avila quote I recently mentioned:

 “Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.”

 

Let's be Love's kindness, compassion, and comfort in the world today.
