"Don't just do something; stand there."
What? This is not how the expression goes.
This seemingly backward and inside out expression is attributed to
various sources, so I don't know who to properly credit.
I do know that sometimes it is wise to simply wait and be in stillness, before rushing to do something, anything.
"From that place of stillness, the right action will emerge and you will
find your next step," says Melody Beattie.
Today, let's be mindful of wisdom's whispers,
guiding us to our next steps in all circumstances.
And let's be willing to wait during times of uncertainty.
It's uncomfortable. True. But we can do it. With faith, wisdom, hope, love...any or all of our gifts, we can let go of fear and we can trust.
During every uncertainty and time of waiting, may we believe that goodness awaits us.
Holding faith,
Charlene
