In The Twelve Gifts of Birth story, twelve fairy godmothers from long ago pronounce life-guiding blessings for all the children of the world. Each "May You" blessing relates to one of The Twelve Gifts, which are: Strength. Beauty. Courage. Compassion. Hope. Joy. Talent. Imagination. Reverence. Wisdom. Love. Faith.

It seems to me that more than ever we need to recognize these gifts within us and use them every day. 
 

I've collected a few "May You" blessings for all the children of the world from contemporary guide-mothers.

Today's Touchstone is one of those blessings from guide-mother, Scarlett Lewis.

Scarlett's blessing urges us to choose love in every moment. Scarlett is the author of the book, Choose Love, and founder of the Choose Love movement. She was propelled into her mission when her son, Jesse, was murdered in the Sandy Hook Elementary School Tragedy in 2012.

Scarlett, thank you for offering your guiding words to all the children of the world.

Let's choose love.  And let's guide the children by our example.
