"Our greatest strength lies in the gentleness and tenderness of our heart." ~ Rumi
Strength. Most of us have been taught to think of it in terms of toughness. Terms like power, might, determination, force, brawn, vigor, or grit. And, yes, at times, those may be the forms of strength we
need.
But, so often, subtler aspects of strength are more effective.
Think of the strength we use in being calm, patient, self-controlled, respectful, quiet, unassuming, enduring, disarming, or empowering.
Think of the strength it takes to say, “I’m sorry,” or “I was wrong.”
Let’s remember that flowing water, though soft, can wear away solid rock and stone, just as gentleness of heart can wash away discord and
conflict.
May we find the courage to be tender and vulnerable.
May we receive all the strength that we need, in the perfect form for each moment.
With love,
Charlene
THE FIRST GIFT IS STRENGTH
May you remember to call upon it
whenever you need it.
THE THIRD GIFT IS COURAGE
May you speak and act with confidence
and use courage to follow your own path.
