Slow Speed, No U Turn. Keep Right. Keep Left. Dangerous Curve Ahead. Yield. Merge. Dead End...

Have you ever noticed how signs that give direction for safe driving can also be guidance on life's journey? Yield, for example?

I've always liked the road signs that tell me what to watch for. Not so much the cautions about potential dangers ahead - although they deserve attention and appreciation - but the signs that inform travelers about the animals that live in the area and could suddenly appear.

Deer, ducks, elk, moose, tortoises, bears, peacocks-

to name just a few.

But there are many kinds of signs. Another is the meaningful coincidence that seems to tell us that a deceased person we love is near. We sense them when we find dimes or feathers. Or when we see a certain kind of bird or butterfly. For me it's every kind of bird but especially the male cardinal. My dad loved the bird and the team.


Let's watch for signs today. Watch for beauty, wonder, guiding coincidences, and every kind of sign. You'll know it when you see it and feel it.
