“Strength is the ability to break a chocolate bar into four pieces with your bare hands and then eat just one of those pieces." - Judith

Defining strength this way may seem trite if we compare it with using strength to face profound life challenges. But let's not
compare.
Strength has many forms. Refraining from eating a piece of chocolate is one of them, one that can require enormous strength of will
too.
Let's value all forms of strength and all the ways we use it, without rating some as more important than others.
As we start a new year, many of us have new and renewed
resolutions, goals, and dreams. Let's notice what forms of strength we need as we proceed. Is it strength of commitment, will, perseverance, grit, honesty, resilience...or something else?
Let's appreciate all of them as we become more aware of how we use strength every day, being especially mindful of the seemingly small ways.
As Mother Teresa said. "Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.”
Truly,
Charlene
