"May there be peace within your walls."
- Psalms 122:7
May there be peace within the walls of the house you call home, within all the places you enter, and within the walls of the trillions of cells in your body, keeping them healthy and strong.
"Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me"
goes the song. What happens in your heart when you hear or sing it? I get goose bumps, and I tear.
It is up to us. You and me. Us, one by one.
May we choose peace, foster peace,
spread peace...
We do that - and more - when we keep peace within our hearts.
And we do that - in part - by responding to the upsets and conflicts we encounter day-by-day with calmness and patience - with curiosity and willingness to learn too.
Let's be open to better understandings of ourselves and each another - open to deeper compassion for one another too.
For peace and miracles,
Charlene
The old woman's words echoed in Clair's mind.
Peace, child. Tell the children,
she heard again and again.
And be ready for miracles.
