Today, may we aim to listen to one another in order to understand the thoughts, the perspectives, and the feelings of each other instead of preparing how we will respond.

As we aim to truly hear one another, may we keep this quote, from the Rule of St. Benedict. in our minds and hearts.

And, at least once today, may we take our sincere listening even further, into a place of powerful purity, by aiming to listen not only with the ear of our heart but with the heart of our inner child. 

So much good can happen between us and among us when we listen with love, compassion, and reverence.
