“When we find a behavior or activity that produces a good feeling, put it on the list. Then, do it often." - Melody Beattie
What list? I call it a "Joy and Well-Being List." I started mine 20 years ago when I was facing advanced Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and my oncologist said, "This is a time that calls for strength. Do what makes you strong."
I discovered that doing things that stirred my
joy also stirred my strength and courage. It stirred my hope and all my gifts. It promoted healing too.
If you don't already have such a list in writing, consider starting one. Note things that uplift you,
things that stimulate happiness, things that give you a sense of well-being and optimism. Add to it whenever you discover a new joy-stirring activity or remember one you have forgotten.
Refer to your list often and act upon it. Every day do at least one thing that's on your "Joy and Well-Being List."
What might that be for you today?
Wishing you a day of delights!
With love,
Charlene
