What do you think of having the intention of learning something new every day?  We probably do learn something new - at least most days - but we may not realize it at the time. Being on the lookout for learning and being aware of it when it happens can renew the curiosity, wonder, enthusiasm, and zesty joy we had as young children and still lives within us. 

Also, instead of thinking of our planet as old, tired, and troubled, we may awaken with fresh perspectives on life, on love, on everything.

I value the perspective of imagining our earth home and the universe as "the nest" - our nest - and we're all in it together. 
Like Bill Moyers, let's become a little more comfortable in it. Let's become more comfortable with one another too. Also more caring and kind, bringing beauty into the nest.
