"Remember you are never really alone. Although it may feel like it for very long stretches of time.” - Steven L. Peck
Sometimes we can feel alone in midst of a crowd and yet not alone when strolling on an isolated
beach or hiking in solitude. And sometimes - in periods of hardship and loss, regardless of activities and situations - we may feel utterly alone.
For those times, for all times, for peace and well-being, let's nurture our trust that we are not alone.
Here are some ways:
We can hold in our hearts a seed of faith that this is so. You may wish to hold an actual mustard seed in your hand, as I have done, to symbolize and affirm faith. In our minds
we can hold memories of times when we knew for sure we were not alone.
We can go to conducive places. For me, resting under the vast sky, standing on a mountain with expansive views, and walking along water's edge, praying and letting thoughts come bring assurance that I am not alone.
However you are assured, may you know: you are not alone.
Truly,
Charlene
