"Sense the blessings of the earth in the perfect arc of a ripe tangerine, the taste of warm, fresh bread, the circling flight of birds, the lavender color of the sky shining in a late afternoon rain puddle."
-
Jack Kornfield
Let's give thanks for these earth riches and for the gift of our senses.
Without them we couldn't see or taste the blessings named in today's quote.
What are your favorite nature sights, sounds, scents, tastes, and touches?
Are any of your favorites the same as mine?
Perhaps the smell of coffee, fresh cut grass and mountain air. Sunrises, sunsets, and the northern lights I hope to soon see. The sound of the ocean, morning bird song, and nighttime cricket chirping.
Let's notice and appreciate the beauty of the earth today.
With love and joy,
Charlene
THE SIXTH GIFT IS JOY.
May it keep your heart open
and filled with light.
