"Don't let the bad days make you think you have a bad life." - Unknown
We all
have some: days we label as "bad."
Such times call for self-love and self-compassion. Faith and hope too.
Each
may seem in short supply on such days. But these gifts are as near as our breath and present and available in every heart beat, especially when we most need them.
Let's do our best on all days to embrace ourselves and reach within for any one or all of our gifts.
Also, let's remember that challenging times hold great potential and promise for healing hurts, releasing limiting beliefs, and growing in love, compassion, and wisdom.
Truly,
Charlene
If today is one of those days, you may wish to consider and reflect upon these quotes. For our own well-being and for the world, let's nurture self-love and hope.
“Be kind to the person you are now.” – iambrilliyant
“You were born to be real, not to be perfect.” – Unknown
If you are heartbroken, still leave your heart open, so pain can find an exit.” – Alexandra Vasiliu
“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” – C.S. Lewis
“Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.” – J.K. Rowling
“Compassion for self and others may very well be the answer to healing our hurt,
hate-filled world.” – Laura Jack
"As a doctor, let me tell you what self-love does:
It improves your hearing, your eyesight,
lowers your blood pressure,
increases pulmonary function,
cardiac output,
and helps wiring the musculature.
So, if we had a rampant epidemic of self-love
then our healthcare costs would go down dramatically.
So, this isn't just some little frou-frou new age notion,
oh love yourself honey.
This is hardcore science."
