I especially appreciate the diverse patterns,
textures, and colors I see in the bark of trees. The pattern in today's photo shows the bark of a large shave brush tree in the botanical garden on Sanibel Island that I write about.
The bark of trees - which is the skin of trees - reminds me to appreciate diversity in humanity near and far.
