“From a waitress to the head of a movie studio, from an elevator operator to the president of a nation, there is no one whose job is unimportant to God." - Marianne Williamson
Today's quote reminds me of Tim Russert. Do you remember the television journalist,
perhaps most known as moderator of Meet the Press? He modeled this quote for me.
One of the things I admired about
Mr. Russert was the way he seemed to treat everyone equally and with respect, seeing beyond the job to the person.
I also got the impression that he took pride and gave his best to every job he held, from working during his high school summers alongside his father on a garbage truck to everything he did as as lawyer, journalist,
and author.
Is there someone who models this quote for you? Inspires you to honor all work?
With reverence, may we give our best to the work that we do and hold all work in high regard.
Most of all, may we see the dignity in all people.
Truly,
Charlene
