"Life is short and we have never too much time for gladdening the hearts of those who are travelling the dark journey with us. Oh be swift to love, make haste to be kind." ~ Henri Frederic Amiel
Life's journey brings each of us through many terrains, from narrowed low passageways to opened spacious heights.
Many people are in low places now. They may be scowling and complaining or avoiding human contact. But as we all know but sometimes forget: those who appear unloving are the ones
with the most need for love and kindness.
The fact is: we all do. So let's be swift to love and to be kind to all.
If we find ourselves in one of those low places now, let's begin by being kind to ourselves and go from there. Even if it seems we have little to give, let's be as kind as possible, because:
"What the world needs now is love, sweet love."
Remember that tune? Whether or not we sing it, let's hold it in our hearts.
For
gladdening,
Charlene
