"The most significant gifts
are the ones most easily overlooked.
Small, everyday blessings:
woods, health, music, laughter,
memories, books, family, friends,
second chances, warm fireplaces,
and all the footprints
scattered throughout our days.”
- Sue Monk Kidd
May we appreciate many of life's seemingly small gifts today.
Sue Monk Kidd named some that she sees as highly significant yet taken for granted.
To her list I would add water, sunshine, wildflowers, hugs, the smell and taste of fresh bread, sunrises and sunsets, windchimes, smiles and courtesies exchanged between "strangers," tears, the cats that adopted me, gardens, synchronicities...
What are some of yours?
Let's give thanks as we savor gifts that stir our joy.
With gratitude and love,
Charlene
THE SIXTH GIFT IS JOY.
May it keep your heart open
and filled with light.
