"When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
When and where have you seen the brightest stars?
I've seen a great density of brilliant stars across the sky and down to the horizon only when I've been in a very dark place. Not a dark place in life. I was in remote locations in Arizona and Colorado. And there were only two such times.
I have been in more than two dark places in life. As I think back on them, I recall that, along with darkness, there was dense fog. Between the darkness and fog, there was no light. At first, it was impossible to see any direction.
But in each seemingly dire experience, the fog thinned when hope appeared, because hope appeared. Soon thereafter, the fog lifted. There was still darkness. But there was light too. Not star light. Hope's light.
There were moments when hope's light became truly magnificent. Bright and brilliant enough to help me and others see our way through.
Hope's light is ready to appear in every dark place, in every dark time. Truly.
With love,
Charlene
