Along with looking for the gifts inside ourselves, let's look for how we are gifts for one another. 

Sometimes we give and receive encouragement for dreams.

Sometimes the gift is listening with acceptance and empathy.

Sometimes it's laughter that lightens burdens.

And sometimes the gift carries growth and enlightenment. But often such gifts are unwanted, at least at first, because they seem like a thorn, an irritant. But near the thorn, there is a rose. 

Let's be open and willing to be the gift and to receive gifts among our whole human family.
